I think women have become (or, even more importantly, that middle class and wealthy women have become) negligent in assuring the availability of choice for their poor and low incomes sisters. We tend to let males off the hook much easily on this one. All of us males have large interests (self and social) in the defense of the right and the extension of availability. Since we can now see the demise of the right, males should get just as angry. Of course, not as many of them will, obviously; but we should.
