ok wait a minute We choose as a society to distribute the cost of accidents, because most families cannot bear major accidents on their own resources (same with fires, and same with health emergencies- major reason for bankruptcy is a catastrophic illness.) Now, how is a public decision to spread the cost of accidents analogous in any way to the conscious choice of a child to kill its parents? You think the sympathy for a murderer and the sympathy for someone involved in an accident are the same?
