Buddy, I consider your mention of my words being liberal to be an insult of major proportions.

Deficits don't necessarily relate to tax increases. What I was talking about was having deficits in building a better nation, and defending what we have from possible threats to it. Done right, which is usually the case, the deficits are paid for by the growth that generates more money for the entire nation. There is nothing liberal about that.

Liberals are "tax and spend". I am talking about "spend and let the growth pay for the deficits". It's worked before, and can word now if the liberal, democrat, socialists are kept out of control.

Constantly having a balanced budget causes apathy, and stagnation. That's not American.

You sound like Ebeneezer Scrouge.
