el-

we heard the scallops were
in - so yesterday, we spent about
4 hours in the snow, sleet, wind
and rain in our chest waders, toes
and fingers freezing, watching the
tide go out on north beach and looking
for the elusive scallop dancing in
the surf.

we found two and when we left at night
fall, many stayed behind, their headlights
shining in the distance behind us.

heard this morning that some guy harvested
over 300 at rose spit. that's a hell of
a lot of scallops to clean! i think
if we got at many i'd call up all my
friends and share the bounty and share
the work :)

i know there's still lots of time, but
here's a good site for pike market area
hotels for an alternative to the one that
scoot suggested:

hotels-rates.com
