Sense Holdings' Next-Generation MEMS-Based Explosive Detection Technology to Debut in Video Presentation; Video to Highlight Proprietary Technology Platform for Multiple Detection Homeland Security Applications
Business Wire - February 15, 2006 10:31

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Feb 15, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Sense Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:SEHO) (FWB:OUP), a developer of next-generation biometric and explosive detection security technologies for government and commercial security markets, announced today the debut of a new video presentation highlighting the Company's advanced MEMS-based technology platform for multiple uses in a range of portable, handheld detection devices, at 12 noon Eastern, Friday, Feb. 17.

The video presentation, to be made available online and free of charge, features an overview of Sense's unique and proprietary technology for the detection of concealed explosives, narcotics and dangerous substances, based on the cutting-edge science of Micro Electro-Mechanical Sensors (MEMS), as well as details and insights about its upcoming line of commercial detection products, including an ultra-efficient and affordable handheld explosives detector designed to improve security screening application in airports and other arenas.

MEMS structures are fabricated in a similar fashion to mass-produced electronic integrated circuits and can be applied to the detection of a wide range of illicit and dangerous threats, including explosives, chemical warfare agents, biological warfare agents and narcotics. Eventually, Sense intends to commercialize a full pipeline of novel detection devices capable of sensing many of these threats and substances.

"Our unique MEMS platform provides next-generation, highly adaptable and versatile technology for the sensing of a wide range of dangerous and illicit substances, all at substantially reduced costs," said Dore Perler, CEO of Sense Holdings, Inc. "At this time of heightened security concerns around the world, we believe our advanced MEMS technology provides the ideal solution for public and private organizations of all kinds requiring powerful portable detection capabilities at affordable prices. Given MEMS' substantial advantages over leading technologies on the market, we feel confident that our pipeline of detection devices will emerge as the clearly superior market alternative."

The upcoming pipeline of detection devices is being developed by Sense in a strategic partnership with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), which is operated by the US Department of Energy, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Sense is a leading developer of advanced proprietary solutions for the global Homeland Security and counterterrorism marketplace. Its product lines and proprietary technology portfolios include biometric authentication and identification technologies and handheld devices for streamlined security screening applications. Among its current customers are the U.S. Army and U.S. Department of Corrections, in addition to some of the largest global transport companies.
