re: There is a check on that ambition.........EU and US aid. If it gets cut off, Hamas will be hard pressed to raise an army given that such things cost a lot of money. There is a lot of talk of Syria and Iran providing both money and arms. And then I'm sure there is the underground network, including but not limited to the Saudis (apology if I'm sounding paranoid like Mindmeld). I'm not at all sure that this isn't leading to a full frontal confrontation, sometime. Do you see either side giving ground? Whatever... all the moving parts make our predictions worthless.
