I don't believe so, when you image you take an exact copy of the partition, that’s where your data sits on.

I don't believe you can back up individual files. I back up partitions only with this software.

What you could do is create a new partition on your hard drive, then take an image of that drive. You will need a free partition to store the images on, a removable hard drive would be the best.

Or you could just back them up to DVD disc.

As far as I can tell from the help files, Acronis can't do that either. You could get a partition manager program to create a new partition and put the photos on it or just delete them before making an image and restoring them from the other disk or a dvd.
