It makes sense why Bush has pursued his oil-heavy energy policies. Exxon-Mobil just announced a record $10 Billion quarter. They can thank Bush for not promoting alternatives or energy efficiency for their profits and his use of the U.S. military to ensure the free flow of oil, which gives them a nice market advantage over competitors.

I doubt Bush will deliver any earth shattering alternative energy or conservation plan tomorrow night that sets us on a different course than the oil heavy path he has pursued that has rewarded big oil so well in recent years.
