i think you're in danger of burning
yourself out - you should pull back
a little imo.

Clapster,

i agree with rose.

maybe it would be a good plan
to ease up a bit and give your body
time to adjust to the activity,
weight loss, etc....

a lot of metabolic stuff is going on
when you're rapidly losing weight.

body cells have to figure out where
to grab proteins and other nutrients
and often start taking it from organs
(not meaning to spook you or anything,
but there are reasons that doctors don't
recommend losing weight too quickly).

keep in mind that your weight took awhile to "get there",
so just try to be patient as you work to lose it.

just look at the guy in Super Size Me.
he put on about 25 or 30 pounds in a month,
but under his weight loss program, i think he said
it took him 9 months to get the weight back off.

also remember that athletes don't go full tilt
all of the time.
a good work-out plan usually includes
days where you work hard, but also days
where you do some easy stuff at a relaxed pace
in order to let muscle cells rebuild.

Clapper,

<This is a plateau that I just have to ride out until things
pick up again.>

Exactly right - that's the way it works. It seems like there are thresholds in getting into shape and losing some weight. Let's keep grinding! We bad, we bad, oh yeah, we baaaad!

I'm still psyched.

btw...the notes from Croc and Rhoze make sense...

january 17 was "drop all your new years resolutions day". what took YOU so long? <g>

i'm in this for the long haul because kath needs to slim down. we go to the gym three and an oink days a week... monday, wednesday, friday and oinkday (maybe saturday, maybe sunday, maybe not).

i'm only doing a 45 minute fat burn and a few weight thangs on the gut and legs plus the sauna, hot tub, shower, hair combing and mirror gawking exercises (about 350 calories total). kath has more fat to lose and i don't want to disappear before she gets down to a size ate. <g>

i haven't weighed mice elf yet. i'll do that in august to see how much fat i'm hoarding that actually should be donated to the 700 club for distribution in their "fatten the foreign children before they kill us and eat us" campaign.

I'm going to keep pushing myself every day.
I've got to.

shut up. you don't have to. i can push you.
