To All:
If you are wondering what has happened to Lee. He is still out there. I got an email from him today. Here in it is complete and uncensored:

I haven't had a cigarette since Friday night. As near as I can tell, that is about 111 hours, 14 minutes, 3.7 seconds since I quit. There is a bag of Oreos in the kitchen that talk to me when I wander through that part of the office. For some reason, my coworkers are acting strangely. They huddle together on the far side of the building and stare at me with large eyes when I move in their direction. Do you think the rest of them would straighten up if I picked one out and killed it? Just a little? Or should I limit it to survivable trauma?

Good to know he hasn't changed. He does get a touch moody when he quits smoking. Last time though there were only three casualties, even so he did have to stand trail. The jury was carefully screened to avoid any close relatives (the south being what it is after all). A jury of Lee's peers (8 cousins, two nieces, 1 aunt, and his uncle Rayford who was chosen because they could use his barn for the proceedings) found Lee not only innocent but a pretty commendable person for providing the judge and jury some damned fine corn liquor on a very hot day.

To All:
Silicon Investor is now offering a $1000 reward for posting the proper numeric post:
Message 22153934
Since I fully subscribe to the ideal of 'Greed is good', I want to get my clutches on this cash. However Silicon Investor has this bizarre idea that only a post on a 'Serious' stock thread should count. This is a very unfair requirement as like the rest of the past posters on this thread, I am booted off by moderators as soon as I try to post on a serious thread. If it is unmoderated the regulars all run to SI and snivel about 'Insulting behavior, obscenities, personal attacks, rudeness, unrelated (and usually obscene) topics, and general nastiness.' This sort of unkind treatment limits my chances of cashing in.
I am truly into the spirit of this contest (I want the bucks as much as anyone). So accordingly I would like to announce that the Flame thread has reformed and is a serious stock thread. So I would like to point out that GERN is a great buy and urge everyone to go in big. This will aid me in layering in my short that has already paid big on this dog.

To All: With Nathanc and Blue on Black showing up here, I thought why not contact our very own Rainy Day Woman and see how she was doing. Rainy was kind enough to reply and I thought I would post her letter.

Dear Druss

Well, you tracked me down as usual. I am doing well, I am in Mexico right now on vacation. After several months of pumping and dumping stocks it is good to get away from the grind.
Since you managed to find me, I would like to ask you a favor. I know you like kids as much as I do, so maybe you can help me out. As you know I like to take a wrist rocket sling shot and a bag of ball bearings for the boring taxi rides from the airport to the hotel (and back). Zinging the scrawny little waifs out there in the street is fun and I think they enjoy it too. They sure do carry on as they climb six feet in the air squalling like scalded cats. But the problem is the ball bearings. I had thought a lot about them and I just felt it wasn't right. The airports have gotten pretty strict on weight allowances and carry on. Ball bearings are simply too heavy. I mentioned this to a friend of mine who is a cop and he came up with a great solution. He gave me a bag of pepper balls. They are just like the balls they use in paint ball guns only filled with cayenne pepper powder. They are light and give the little tykes a dose of pepper dust when they hit.
I have really gotten enthused about the results of using them. So much so that I have started using them on my taxi rides to restaurants during my visit. The local kids are enjoying it too and have taken to calling me 'perra del infierno' which the taxi driver told me means 'spicy lady'. My problem is I am running out of ammo. Could you please see if you can locate some and get it to me as soon as possible? If you can't find them I understand, just send me a extra large bag of marbles.
Kisses
Rainy

And don't you dare put this letter on the Flame Thread.
