JF, your "stable Middle East" led to 9/11. EOM

Wrong! The policies of your GOP 'leaders' led to 9/11. It was Reagan who committed mistake after mistake with Iran and Lebanon and Palestine.

But the issue that was the topper.....the one that really stirred up OBL was Bush I putting airbases into Saudi Arabia. That was the coup de gras.......the bespoiling of Mecca.

And now thanks to Bush II, the man you voted for twice, the ME is a disaster area and Americans are in more danger than ever before.

At what point in time PRIOR to Bush's invasion of Iraq did nearly half of all Iraqis wanted American troops shot? By what metric system do you consider that level of hatred a sign of success?

Nearly half of Iraqis support attacks on U.S. troops, poll finds

BY DREW BROWN

Knight Ridder NewspapersWASHINGTON - A new poll found that nearly half of Iraqis approve of attacks on U.S.-led forces, and most favor setting a timetable for American troops to leave.

The poll also found that 80 percent of Iraqis think the United States plans to maintain permanent bases in the country even if the newly elected Iraqi government asks American forces to leave. Researchers found a link between support for attacks and the belief among Iraqis that the United States intends to keep a permanent military presence in the country.
