The irrational exuberance of left wing extremists to win something for the party, founded on unprincipled agendas, and obsolete platforms has cost our country many of the benefits obtained from decades of liberal social movements. Probably the greatest changes in human organization since the dawn of the age of enlightenment. The only thing that might compare from the conservatives would be their refusal to recognize the corruption related to Abramoff's dealings ... except that they aren't refusing to recognize that as a problem. The extremes of irrational public anxiety and panic by Kennedy et al are a sad display of a once great party in the final throws of its disintegration. We need effective liberal agendas. Maybe libertarians or some other up_and_comers can help fill the gap.
