That's what we are doing - build it in - you body will adjust. I have to focus on the diet now...got the exercise gig going pretty well. And, if you are doing a lot of lifting, it will build muscle (which is heavier than fat). Alternating days of difficult/easy work-outs (like Croc and Rhoze said) is the way to do it. When I ran marathons, that was the formula - I still try and keep that pattern with the longest workout on the weekends.
