Equally disturbing is that almost no lottery recipients who choose the annualized payment option ever receive the last payment. They are almost all forced to sell their final payment stream in a viatical settlement to pay off debts from excessive consumption.

Thus, the big winners who have come from poverty are returned to it. At least most of them enjoyed the ride.
