A SPOFF HEADS UP

I was spoofed today via an e mail and was lucky to not give out my paypal information.

Received an e mail addressed to me from paypay service indicating my payment had been send and I bought a watch with my "charge card" was being hit for $395. Lower down on the e mail it had a link to "paypay" if this charge was in error.

Yes I clicked on the link but luckily that didn't do any thing to my machine (I hope but I did clear out all cookies / files and run spyware and virus scans) and I went to a page that looked just like paypay except the address bar indicated it was www.*******/paypay/ versus the normal www.paypal.com.

I was lucky enought to not give my logon and password. I went to paypay since I don't have a paypay charge card. Boy is it difficult to post a dispute or find a phone number to call.

I changed my pass word and that paypay e mail provided a phone number and I was able to find out what was going on.
