VELCF: Yes, stock's been mentioned here and Buffettolgy thread several times, esp. in '99 and '00. While VELCF seems to have a wonderful patent and franchise, it's been difficult (apparently and imo) to get great profits from them. I've never been able to convince myself to make a purchase of the stock. Even an exploratory position. With the great benefit of looking back, it seems to me that the stock's sort of been a value trap. Stock might be a great buy now though, I do not know.
