Methinks you have some spin of your own going on there. It may not be pure socialism, but it's sure in the neighborhood. It never occurred to me that socialized health care was not phase one socialism. Well, now it has occurred. It's not. At least not necessarily so. Depends on the context. In Britian in the middle to late 40s it was because it was part of a macro economic package. In the early part of the 21st century US, it's not part of a macro economic package.
