Freep - you know very well that this thread is very different from what it was a few years ago, when AA used to snap the whip. There was a lot of heavy Elliottian TA going on, with detailed analyses and Fibo's and so forth. AA also used to kick butt pretty hard when people would not follow the standard Elliottian nomenclature and "invent" patterns. As I recall, it was almost a requirement that people would keep reading up on EW. Sentiment work was regularly discussed and analyzed. Shit... come to think of it, it was a very valuable and educational thread. All of this is still within our reach. I don't perceive the remark by Phoenix as being anything but constructive - a call for all of us to focus more on the methodology mentioned in our header. This doesn't mean that people cannot post the usual variety of observations and thoughts - but it is my feeling that the spirit of this thread certainly needs a little more nurturing... in the EW direction.
