re: One of the best written articles on the subject. He nailed it completely IMO. Yeah... why is this stuff not obvious to EVERYONE. I understand why it's not coming from the "bully pulpit", but shouldn't somebody, anybody be pounding this into the thick skulls of Americans? Where are the Democrats, for instance? I know you are frustrated and I don't want to upset you further, but I don't think you fully understand the situation. These people who are the problem don't care. They don't care what the facts are. They don't care how logical Friedman's thesis is. They don't care if there are future consequences. While their motivations may be different, for them, the bottomline is they don't care what's right or fair or reasonable. They don't care what the USSC says about abortion. The Court must be biased and wrong. They don't care what the Constitution says when it disagrees with their beliefs. It has to be a bad interpretation. So when you rail about Dems.........to be honest, I don't know how you fight this kind of illogic and unreasonableness esp. when they have gotten complete control. I think the Dems are as frustrated as you and I. We have learned to have certain expectations when we deal with people in this culture and they have taken those expectations and turned them upside down. BTW I don't think this mindset is typical of a majority of Americans but at this point, it doesn't matter........the gov't is in their hands. And there is no question they have complete control. Its fucked......and I don't know what you do about it except keep beating them down with the facts. ted
