The only way that I believe that could happen is if there was a subsequent elimination of the monetary authority and a collapse in the money supply, which would effectively end demand. Conceptually it is possible, I guess, but it is hard to imagine it happening in the absence of governmental failure on a grand scale. Being a betting man (as we all are here), my chips are on inflation of the moderate variety.
