Not likely for several reasons: There's no re-election to be capitalized on this. The Iranians will raise the shiites in Iraq and attack Iran by taking oil facilities in the south. Iraq will stop being an oil country. Kurds will keep a small share of what they have there. Iran send every bomb they have on top of Baghdad's Greenzone, where the country's administration is located. There's no ground forces to oppose Iran doing that. Unless a coalition of some 50 countries is put together. You don;t find too many epople willing to be slaughtered nowadays.

Hi Energy Play, You meant military action against Iran. I can't see it. There was no military action against Israel, India, Pakistan, North Korea; what's so different about Iran? The Iranian government has not even helped their brothers, the Iraq Shiites very much. Israel might bomb the Iranian nuclear sites, if they can locate them. In that case watch Europe and the US stand aside, in a quasi neutral stance. If I see oil in the 90's about this I'll break my usual custom and sell my energy holdings. That's different from reaching the 90's because of a genuine shortage, peak oil etc. Lots of luck, Seeker of Truth
