Were they oil company investors? A fantasy, but imagine if the country suddenly adopted an energy policy with real teeth... taxing inefficiency and providing tax credits for efficiency. Two things would happen overnight, a large portion of the risk premium would disappear from the price of oil, and energy stocks would tumble. If you are an oil bull that's not a good thing... I was touting universal single payer health insurance to golf buddy that sells health insurance the other day... let's just say I didn't convince him.
