Are you unaware of the CORRUPTION in the COMMISSION to inspect the dams and the disappearing money to improve them being spent on things like CASINOS and completely disappearing altogether? That area of Louisianna has been a cesspool of corruption as long as I can remember, now we are going to REWARD them for their actions? jdn

Yeah, their new hurricane machine is really causing havoc. I hear it's intentional to bring down property values around the Gulf of Mexico so they can buy land on the cheap and drill for oil :^)

Funny....I did not hear much pissing and moaning from all those displaced in a killer tornado that ripped across Oklahoma one day a few years ago.....hmmmmm. must be the difference between Okies, and Louisianians......wanna guess why????

During what period did this happen?

The Army Corps of Engineers built the canals and dredged the river causing a loss of barrier wetlands which protected the city.
