Don't really know either. A myth that has gone on forever and don't know how this got started, have just heard it all my life. I never have paid that much attention to it, so this year I will watch to see if there is any truth to it. I still feel if it is meant to be, it will be and we will have larger heating bills. Have not used our fireplace once this year, nor did I order firewood. The lady that owned this house before us never had a fire in any of the three fireplaces and when built would not allow them to attach gas lines to any of the them.
Her reasoning being that she had many antiques in here and did not want smoke around them.

Figure if it comes, I will stay in and start doing some Spring cleaning early. Really need to do some closet cleaning soon. Funny, I have watched older people around me and everyone of them slacked off doing their regular habits around home. Never thought I would be like that, but, yep, has happened and I want to change that habit, so if I practiced Lent would be my choice to give up being lazy. My hubby would want me to give up my time on my computer, but that is a no go for me. I would be too grumpy and he surely would change his mind about it. <gg>

Any groundhog that comes out and sees 2,000 people in funny outfits jumping around singing YMCA is going to run back in his house. Today, Punxatawney Phil took a shit all over his handlers tuxedo! I wonder what the meteorological explanation for THAT was!
