Your assumptions are solipsistic, your conclusions deterministic, your Weltanschauung berift of nuance. But you knew that already.
Lets leave Cindy, now out of handcuffs, and Mrs. Young -- they are both more than capable of taking care of themselves.

Sorry to jump in the middle.

I believe that Sheehan believed simply showing up would be enough of a protest, and garner enough attention. To assume that she would do anything 'disruptive', you'd have to also assume that the politician's wife who wore the Support our Troops shirt would jump up in the middle of the speech and break out in 'This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land'.

We don't convict people for crimes they might commit, unless they take some action towards the commitment. Wearing a tshirt is not enough to get anyone convicted of disrupting anything - except in the current atmosphere.

I'm not saying that you believe Cindy would have caused a disruption, but I heard Bill Blowhard making such a claim last night on his All Spin Zone.

5 More US soldiers killed today. And for what?
Sheehan has a strong point to make, but it is Murtha and Kerry who are correct on the war. Bush and especially Cheney are dead wrong and very dishonest about the war, as they have been since day one. But what does Cheney care? His company Halliburton is banking billions in refcord profits. And the blood of our soldiers and tax-payer money pays for it all. Corruption Inc. Impeachment time.
