WH announced today they would shortly be requesting another $120 Billion dollars from Congress for the conduct of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan over the next year of so... this will bring the direct appropriations and expenditures up to $440 Billion thus far. (Before the War in Iraq was launched, I guess-timated that before it was all over, the American taxpayers would have been hit with a cost of at least 1/2 Trillion dollars. Looks like we will easily exceed that mark... nearly all of it borrowed.)
