Ericsson says major supplier to Vivo's new network in Brazil Jul 21, 2006 STOCKHOLM (MarketWatch) -- Swedish telecommunications equipment vendor Telefon AB LM Ericsson (ERICY) will be the major supplier of a new wireless telecommunications network to be built by Vivo Participacoes S/A (VIV) in Brazil, Ericsson Chief Executive Carl-Henric Svanberg said. He was addressing an analyst conference call Friday. Svanberg said Ericsson would supply 100% of the core network and a majority of the network. The total order value is $500 million, of which a majority will be for Ericsson.
