"is not that what I said, dems are never responsible for anything.... :-))" There are lots of things that the Peanut Farmer did wrong or could have done better. But to blame him for the decades of oppression by the Shah isn't rational. Now true, the Shah started out with the best of intentions. Unfortunately, too many of his subjects insisted on living in the first millennium. So he resorted to forcing them. Which lost him the support of the middle class. They thought that by giving up some freedoms to a theocracy, they could buy security. They were wrong, and by the time they realized it, it was too late to get their freedom back.
