DJ Disney To Update Pirates Of Caribbean Ride

hehe - many PIRATES and CROOKS thankful for Ebay as a place to sell their wares

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP)--Pirates of the Caribbean, one of Disney's most popular rides, will get a makeover.

The ride will close this spring for a few months to add new characters and special effects, Disney (DIS) said Thursday.

Disney wants to capitalize on the popularity of recent Pirates of the Caribbean movies by adding Jack Sparrow, the Johnny Depp character, and his nemesis, Barbossa, in time for the July 7 release of the movie's sequel, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest."

Disney will also update some of the special effects on the boat ride, which takes guests through a singing and brawling world of robotic pirates.

The ride will change at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
