Kerry has been hammering Bush regularly. Sign up for his emails. His speeches don't always make the news but he's always speaking out. He's also been very vocal covering Murtha's back from the GOP smears.

Gore recently spoke out powerfully against the illegal wiretapping. Pelosi and Dean have been talking about "the culture of corruption" for a year. Reid was very harsh against Bush before the State of the Union. Rahm Emanual is very tough on GOP corruption. Kennedy has been blistering.

Just where are these appeasing Democrats you see? Except for Lieberman and a few from red states who have to be careful what they say, I don't see any of them. Maybe what you are seeing is the White House being able to dominate the discussion with Bush's non-stop PR damage control offensives since his polls hit 35% in November. The White House can always get heard when they want to. The minority party has a much harder time.
