I could not, various reasons.

But I was the only one. Brothers, nephews, sons, son's of nephews...all wrestlers.

One of my sons' was a Fargo All American, Heavyweight. Also a National Prep All American, finishing second to Ogonwole who today is ranked about 7th in NCAA. His only losses (two) in the last three years of prep were to Ogunwole.

Fargo has over 4,000 high school wrestlers attend, it's the National tournament. Largest wrestling tournament in the world.

Jersey usually finishes around 4th or 5th as a team.

So yes, NJ has some good talent.

-------

I think people think of the Hwt class when they think of farm boy wrestling. Currently, Hwt is the only weight where Jersey does not have at least one representative in the top 15 nationally.

Yet arguably the best Hwt in the NCAA right now (and probably our next Olympic Hwt) is two-time NCAA champion and three-time NCAA Finalist Steve Mocco from North Bergen. Spent two years at St. Benedict's in Newark and 2 years at Blair compiling a 212-1 record. I believe he has four NCAA losses; 2 to Rowlands, 1 to Crump and 1 to Conrad. He is a Senior at OSU.

We should either start a thread or take this private. I don't want to get the board too cluttered.
