I saw Munich and also went to see Brokeback Mountain. Both films are good on the surface and provide solid entertainment.

The problem with Munich was the constant reference to money. I can see how a Jewish person would have been offended at Spielberg's continuous framing of Jews as people who measure things by money. Something similar would be seeing a serious movie about Poland, where all the Poles were dimwittes. It's caricature times 2 in full screen mode.

Brokeback was a good film, the only problem with the film was the way in which one of the lead characters died. Referencing a hate crime once made a good story line point, but doing it a second time demonstrated the agenda of promoting homosexuality was more important than the film. He could have died in an auto accident and the ending would still have had the same impact.

Just my two cents.....
