Thanks. I too find the conversation interesting. The top timeline I found below certainly shows other ice ages, before people came (or many anyhow)...well before recorded history. Just the cores of the ice plugs I would guess. There were some reports a few weeks ago stating that the trees were the largest producers of greenhouse gases, if I remember right.

The timeline certainly puts into perspective the last 1,000 years on the chart of space/time.
