I drive a car until one of my kids totals it. I still drive a 1992 honda and it has 140k or so. Every year, once a year it passes emmissions testing. That is a clear indication that the car's engine is calibrated. It still gets 20 something to 30 something MPG depending on the nature of the driving.

In general, I expect that every car has a complete system calibration on a regular basis.

My youngest is driving a 91 toyota. Same thing.
