For me, economics is about markets; property rights, medicare, medicaid, at least the way we are talking about it is political.

A basic difference between the economic systems we're discussing is who owns what. On one end of the continuum, individuals own and control property. At the other, property is communally held and distributed. "Property rights" is a fundamental principle, not another government program. Principles are not programs and programs are not principles.
