I suppose though that pretty quickly the street will start worrying about sub aquisition/subsidy costs on these things, which might be substantial at the beginning while XM tries to define them as iPod alternatives..OTOH if they bump the sub growth rate by an incremental 2 million/yr, which is less than 10% of the iPod market, the street will like that quite a bit..

A very exciting aspect of these things is that the guys building them (Pioneer & Samsung) have the muscle to deliver them in large quantities. I do believe that XM's expectations for them this year is one of those very large numbers... ;)

It will be interesting to see whether Dell's new lineup is, in any way, a participant. They were said to be building a 6GB XM Ready device before XMAS, then all theirs were pulled. One has to think that Dell will at least try to be competing seriously in this business. Guess we'll know about that soon enough.

It is fun to watch this stuff develop.
