Christ loves heartfelt originality. Instead of repetitiously repeating another man's thoughts. Why not reach out to the unsaved with your own thoughts rather than a cut and paste copy of another's so called laws for salvation? God commanded us to preach the Gospel to the world. If we are to follow his requests than let it be from our own hearts or from his word. Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. You said in your Word "If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thy heart that God has raised him from the dead, "THOU SHALL BE SAVED" (Romans 10:9.) I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe that he was raised from the dead for my justification. Your Word says... with the heart man believes unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:10) I do believe with my heart, and I confess with my mouth Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Therefore, I am SAVED! "Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Their is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all, and in you all." If I may make a suggestion.... When We Receive Christ, We Experience a New Birth: (READ John 3:1-8) Of course I read the passage that you indicated and I didn't come to the conclusion you drew. "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." [John 3:5] The Sacred Scriptures and the teaching of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church of Christ are in complete agreement. Our new birth occurs at Holy Baptism, which consists of BOTH water and Spirit. So you might consider altering your message so that it clearly articulates that "receiving Christ" by faith does not accomplish our rebirth. It is only the first step that directs us to want to take the next step, which is to accept Holy Baptism. One Lord, one faith, one baptism, [Ephesians 4:5] Now there is only one true baptism, and that is only to be found in Christ's true Church, the Holy Orthodox Catholic Church of Christ. Other baptisms in Roman Catholic and Protestant sects are water baptisms, but are bereft of the Spirit which must accompany said baptism. Cyprian

Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be. I might add, that it might be a little presumptuous to thank Christ for forgiving our sins when we have yet to ask for forgiveness. We need to ask forgiveness for sins, we don't just presume that they have already been forgiven without our asking for forgiveness. Of course at Holy Baptism our sins are remitted as all true Christians confess in the Symbol of Faith, the Holy Creed. "I confess one baptism for the remission of sins..." Cyprian
