I have never met anyone who told me they knew any Chinese dissidents. Thus I rely on published accounts. Published accounts have described much abuse and dissidents who are held without communication with their families. I have yet to hear of rape rooms, dissidents thrown to tigers, putting out of eyes, dismembering or many of the other favorite methods used by Iraq pre liberation. Perhaps china does a better job of bribing CNN than even Saddam’s boys did.
