One of the few cancers mostly cured even in advanced stages. The cisplatin cure, which is quite often hailed as a beautiful example of what expensive research can do, was actually found by and accident 30 years ago. Incidentally, former 1hr record holder Danish pro bicyclist Ole Ritter was subject to the same fate and was eventually cured the same way approx. 20 years ago or so. Taro
