The congress will not remain in rightwing hands for long. They are discredited now. At least two dozen of them are caught up in corruption scandals already.

The American public doesn't support criminals. So at worst, the congress will be turned over to more honest GOP moderates who won't mind getting rid of Bush via impeachment. Or, democrats will have subpoena powers and convict every last crook in this crooked criminal administration, thereby saving American democracy.

First and foremost these guys want to keep their jobs. If the voters weren't sheep it would be easier to effect positive change.

No kidding. It's a bad thing to have either party with too much power... but the Bush regime is a whole new level of incompetence and politics over good policy. It's frightening.
