Kerry spoke out strongly against confirming Alito.
So did many. But Alito was a foregone conclusion without more compelling evidence that he is a rightwing radical.

Even if all Dems voted against Alito they would be several votes short. And the Gang of 14 did not support stopping Alito at all. Fact is, Alito may not be as big a problem as the left made him out to be. His first vote was surprisingly to spare the life of a black convict guilty of murder. He voted against Scalia and Thomas and with Ginsberg.

If you want to change things, then we need more DEmocratic congressmen and senators. Plain and simple. So pick a congressional race that matters and fight to oust the Bushie rightwinger in the race. That's the most patriotic thing you can do for your country this year.
