Which is not to say it is possible. So far, what we are mainly doing is ensuring that people are in good health until the end. But what if they find the key? Then the brain cell loss becomes very significant.

I don't know about the "insuring good health until the end" part. My parents died relatively young when I was a kid......however, my friends' parents are starting to have problems and some are still in their 60s. Jenny Garth from BH 90210 was on CNN talking about her father having a serious heart attack recently. It sounds to me like once you hit your late 60s, the quality of your life deteriorates very quickly.
