The whole thing is odd....and very costly in human life. What happened to the concept "the Captain goes down with the ship"?? Or is that just "those" idealistic Americans who believe in "stuff" like that? It will be interesting to see if we ever know what caused the fires in the bottom of the ship. And the fires happened while the passengers were sleeping. In American ships, we have to have a life jacket for every passenger. Did the Egyptian-Saudi ship have the same rules?
