Now candidates have to run past the Kos gauntlet of vitriol, should they stray even somewhat towards the center. I don't read every post and diary at Daily Kos, but my sense of what the Kossacks want from Dem candidates is that they stand up and act like the Opposition Party, which is reasonable and desirable, IMHO. I would also point out that the Center ain't where it used to be, so even if they are pulling the party leftward, it is more like a brake on the rightward tilt than a move to the left fringe.
