Many, Yes, just about every pow wow we have been to has the drum circle. There is not much singing done, but there are chants that are impressive. The rhythm of the drums can either soothe, or excite, the heart depending on the tempe.

If you ever get a chance to hear the music of Arvel Bird, please listen. He has adapted his well played fiddle to play music that are on Indian topics, and he is well versed on the Indian flute too. He is based in Nashville, but travels all over the country to pow wows.He is half Paiute, and half Scottish.
