I bet if the war mongers want to stop iran nuke plants -

If anyone sounds like a war monger, that's el Presidente Chavez. Except that his threat to arm a million Venezuelans with Kalashnikovs is pure demagoguery. A lie. He would never do it. He should be careful that the generals and the ruling classes wouldn't throw him out - or cut his throat - for such insane talk. The last thing the generals want are crowds of armed citizens roaming the streets and the poor neighborhoods, endangering the rule of the law - meaning theirs, the General's law.

Chavez is out of his mind and it's beginning to show.

Another thing about Chavez. The guy needs conflicts - internal and external - in order to justify his ascension to dictatorial powers (and personal control of the resources). Venezuela may have had her last democratic election for some time to come. Hugo wouldn't want to risk getting unelected, would he.... especially in view of a well publicized imminent invasion by the US... LOL
