Thanks for your recommendation of firedoglake. Glad you like it. I also strongly recommend Uncharted Territory by Glenn Greenwald. He is a serious, wonkish writer who seems dedicated to having blogs taken seriously by the Powers That Be. I revisited both Drum and Clemons. Since I have a list of about a dozen daily-read blogs, any site that doesn't have significant original reporting/opinion is unlikely to crack the line up. They are both good enough that I will leave them as substitutes for the time being, though, thanks.
