Broadcom filed S-1 on 2.5.98. Estimated revenue $53M + side deal with Cisco (cash-out of $500K investment?). Lead underwriter is Morgan Stanley. Others include BT Alex. Brown, DM-G and H&Q.

I would expect IPO in 2Q98 based on due diligence and market conditions.

See EDGAR filing for complete details.

BTW - I like this company. They have the clear lead for cable/broadband access. Would also make a great acquisition for other access gear providers like Motorola, Lucent, 3Com or Cisco. Provided the Cable companies can get their act together, Broadcom could be the next Ciena.
