Rarebird, I agree that the system is close to communism, with a few different twists to it. There is a large portion of the population that thinks any problems they have is supposed to be solved by the government, so they tend to consider government as Robin Hood, who will steal from the rich, and give to the poor. It is odd that so many people don't know that the rich have become so by their effort, or ability, to earn the kind of money that classifies them as rich. They didn't steal from anyone, in almost all of the cases, but used their brains, or inner strength, to earn their money. Please stress the word "earn".

Pure socialism, or communism, has never succeeded throughout history of the world. When the gross product of a society is put into a common warehouse from which every person receives their needs, causes the lazy to quit working at all, because they know they will be fed and clothed from that warehouse with out lifting a finger to earn anything on their own. These systems collapse quickly, and a government is formed that becomes a dictatorship, like the USSR. Either way, mankind is cheated.
