With respect to Muslim outrage over the cartoon and their subsequent barbaric animal behavior, the following comment says it all better than I could:

"Who offends Islam more?" asked Jihad Momeni. "A foreigner who endeavors to draw the prophet ... or a Muslim with an explosive belt who commits suicide in a wedding party in Amman or elsewhere?"

I must have missed something. Are there any Christians burning the offices of NBC because of the Book of Daniel? Or are there any Christians chanting "Death to the CEO of NBC"? Or are there any Christians brandishing AK-47's and kidnapping the relatives of the CEO of NBC to get the Book of Daniel taken off the air?

The answer is no. Instead those Christians acted like civilized people.

As far as we know........however, you seem to have a very selective memory when it comes to Christians.

Don't you remember just two years ago, the Dixie chicks were getting death threats and had things thrown at their houses and the houses of their relatives. There were DC CD burnings all over the Bible Belt. There were threats against their children. I don't remember all the bad things that were done to them by what you would call good Christians, but it was a very scary time for them. Oh wait, they deserved it......they didn't like Bush and condemned the war.

Have you forgotten that good Christians in this country burned women at the stake because they were believed to be witches......or if that's too long ago for you, how about when good Christians hung 'colored boys' in the early part of the 20th century because they were caught talking to white girls. BTW the Klan was a God fearing, Christian organization.

Please clean up your own house before you condemn others.

They protested and wrote letters and petitioned and boycotted the show and guess what? NBC saw that the show wasn't getting good ratings, so they cancelled the series. That's how civilized society works.

Surprise, surprise.....they chose a more respectable route this time. Good for them.

Now let's pan over to the Muslim world. Muslim protesters, burned embassies, brandished AK-47's, chanted "Death to the Danes" and "Oh Osama strike them, strike them, strike them" and "With our soals and blood we defend you, oh Mohammed", and they kidnapped a Danish journalist threatening him with death. So you really think the Muslims are civilized? I think they are barbaric animals and their actions prove my point.

I have said repeatedly on this thread I find the Muslim protests over the depiction of Mohammad in Danish newspapers to be much ado about nothing. And I will repeat......I often find offensive the behavior of religious extremists on either side of the great divide.
